Chicken and Eggs

Our birds eat a balanced vegetarian grain. They also receive vegetable and herb scraps. Because our birds are outside they get to scratch and eat insects in the yard. The combination of these foods is what gives their meat tremendous flavor and their eggs that dark yoke. Our chickens lay different color eggshells (white, brown, green, and blue). The shell does not determine the nutritional value. Their diet and yokes do.
